Alley Gator invites you to visit an exciting new website -- Rock 'n Soul Alley -- a gathering place for lovers of rock and soul music.

Celebrating the music's endurance and vitality, Rock ‘n Soul Alley supports an online community where music lovers share their knowledge and enthusiasm in conversations and debates like those that thrived years ago in record stores.

As your host, I've seeded the Alley with conversation-starting articles and lists, including a few unique features: The Alley Timeline is an interactive list of over 2200 songs from the last six decades in chronological order, including details about each song, commentary on many of them, and brief, illustrative sound samples of a selected few. The Pantheon displays the greatest rock and soul artists in a provocative grid of 6 tiers of excellence across 6 time periods. The CD Database provides interactive access to over 2700 CD titles, details, and ratings so that visitors can browse, analyze, extract, and print customized reports.

These features are integrated into an enticing discussion forum where registered visitors ("Cats") create a profile and keep the site humming, posting their own lists of songs, albums, and artists, and jumping into conversations about blog posts, each others' lists and comments, and thousands of songs, albums, and artists. At Rock ‘n Soul Alley all the Cats are jumpin', "keepin' the music alive."
